Wir, das Orga-Team der KriWo, sind engagierte Studis der Uni Potsdam aus verschiedenen Fachrichtungen und Semestern. Uns ist wichtig, neue und alte Studis an der Uni abzuholen und mit Themen vertraut zu machen, die in unseren Augen für die Überwindung von bestehenden Machtverhältnissen notwendig sind.
Natürlich lassen sich in diesem Rahmen nicht alle Themen abdecken, die relevant sind. Dass manchen Themen, wie z.B. Klassismus, Ableismus, und Colourism in diesem Jahr keine eigenen Veranstaltungen gewidmet werden, ist mehr als bedauerlich, heißt jedoch nicht, dass wir diese Punkte nicht in in den Fokus nehmen werden. Die KriWo ist kein einmaliges Event und auch nicht das einzige kritische und wir werden stets dafür Sorge tragen, dass zuvor ausgelassene oder nicht ausreichend behandelte Themen bei weiteren Veranstaltungen oder der nächsten KriWo dafür im Fokus stehen.
Weiterhin ist uns bewusst, dass unser Kernteam überwiegend weiß/white-passing ist und stehen deshalb in engen Kontakt mit dem Antirassismus Referat, welches als Teil des AStAs angeboten hat, eine beratende Funktion einzunehmen. Natürlich deckt auch das nicht alle Identities ab. Besonders in Bezug auf die Organisation der KriWo bemühen wir uns deshalb darum, eine aktivierende und nicht inhaltliche Funktion einzunehmen; unsere Privilegien stets zu reflektieren, und uns immer wieder bewusst zu machen, dass wir nicht unfehlbar sein können.

We, the team that organises the Critical Introductory Weeks, are a small number of commited students from different subject areas and semesters at the University of Potsdam. We would like to reach new and old students in order to familiarise them with topics that, in our view, constitute societal progress by dismantling existing power structres.
Of course not ALL relevant topics can be dealt with in this context. We are aware that some topics, such as classism, ableism, and colourism, have not found a place in this year’s program. That is regrettable and we are making an effort to work on these deficits for future events. The Critical Introductury Events aren’t a one time thing and neither is it the only critical event organised by UP students. We will take care that topics that have been left out will be focused in the context of other events or the next Critical Introductory Weeks.
We are also aware that our core team is predominantly White or White passing, which is why we are in contact with the AStA department for anti-racism. This of course doesn’t cover all identities that’s why (especially in regard to the KriWo), we are trying to take an activating role, reflect on our priviledges, and constantly remind us that we are not infallible.
